Senior leader of the CPN-UML Jhala Nath Khanal has said the constitution writing process forwarded by the Constituent Assembly (CA) would not be halted at any cost.
Receiving a memorandum submitted by the Reporters´ Club Nepal with an objective to exert pressure for writing constitution, at his residence in Dallu in the Capital, he said the disputed issues witnessed during the constitution writing process could be settled through political consensus.
He said, "Majority of people are in line of promulgating constitution. Thus, constitution writing process would go ahead if possible by forging consensus, otherwise as per the CA procedure. The step taken by the CA is right and it would not be withdrawn at any cost."
