Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Prakash Sharan Mahat and ambassador Israel to Nepal Yaron Mayer jointly launched Nepal Israel Chamber of Commerce and Industries aimed a function with presence of business community, members of parliament and people from various walks of life.

Headed by d by Shishir Bhatt, the aim of the organization is to promote and expand bilateral trade, business and economic relations between the two countries. Other office bearers include Rabi Chandra Singh vice president, J.R (Sagar) Thapa secretary, Hemant Golchha treasurer. Members include Subhashish Thapaliya, Prakash Dotel. Lokendra Karki, Kapildev Regmi, Bharat Raj Acharya, Nikhil Murarka, Sambridhi Gyawali,Kishan Agrawal, Bishnu Panthi, Shreejana KC, Arjun Gharel, Mohan Lama and others. 

Special guest at the program was Zvi Herman, former Director of CINADCO (Center for International Agricultural Development Cooperation), operating under the auspices of Israel’s Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Advisor to the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development of Israel. Herman had made presentation on Israel’s achievement in agriculture, water and rural development sector.
