The Federal Republican Front (FRF) led by the UCPN (Maoist) has decided to continue its obstruction to the Constituent Assembly until the consensus is forged on the disputed issues of the new constitution.

Concluding that the ruling parties are strategically hell on moving ahead overlooking the dialogue and agreements, the meeting of FRF in held in Singa Durbar on Saturday decided to continue their obstruction in the CA meet in the coming days, said Chairman of the Sadbhawana Party, Mahendra Raya Yadav.

The UCPN (Maoist), five Madhesi parties and Federal Socialist Party, Nepal are in the in the FRF.

“We continue our obstruction in the CA meeting until the constitutional issues are sorted out through consensus,” Yadav told Myrepublica, adding, “the meeting has decided to stage demonstration inside the CA hall as the ruling parties are against the consensus process.”

The FRF has also reiterated that the four-point agreement held earlier with the ruling parties should be implemented in letter and spirit.

The four-point deal had been sealed among the Nepali Congress, CPN-UML, UCPN (Maoist) and Madhesi parties following the second CA election.

The alliance is strongly against the formation of the questionnaire committee and decided to object if the motion is put forward by the CA chairman himself.

The leaders also claimed that nowhere in the world the motion is floated by the CA chairman. The 19-party alliance is now holding a meeting on the same issue.
