The plenum of the Unified CPN Maoist slated to be held in Gorkha in mid-November is expected to cost the party around Rs 20 million. According to Maoist sources, Rs 10 million will be spent on food and lodging.

Remaining managerial costs will run around another Rs 10 million. The plenum will be participated by about 5300 representatives including members from 11 state committees and two sub state committees. The cost of erecting tents at the plenum venue Palungtar alone will be around Rs 2 million. Each participant will have to pay Rs 1000 as fee.
