Embassy of India in Kathmandu organized a programme to celebrate the Golden Jubilee Scholarship Scheme 2012-13 on March 20, 2013 at Hotel De'l Annapurna. 200 Nepali students were awarded with the scholarship amount of NRs 3,000-4,000 monthly to study various undergraduate programmes in Nepal. Thirty seats this year was presented to "especially abled" students of Nepal while fifty percent of scholarship was awarded to the students from financially disadvantaged districts of Nepal. Deputy Chief of Mission, Embassy of India in Kathmandu Shri Jaideep Mazumdar awarded the scholarships to the students.
