Five Turkish People have been felicitated with the Everest Diamond Jubilee medals at a program organised by the Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) in Istanbul of Turkey.

According to a press statement, Nepalese Honorary Consul General in Turkey Gunseli Malkoc and Honorary Public Relations Representative of NTB in Turkey Baris Malkoc gave away the medals to Tunch Findik, the first Turkish to summit Everest from Nepali side and Ali Nasuh Mahruki, the first Muslim climber to summit Mt Everest.

Other Everest summiteers felicitated in the program were Mustafa Kalayci, Firat Eren and Yilmaz Sevgul, according to the statement.
