PM Koirala invited US president Obama to visit Nepal

Nepalese Prime minister Sushil Koirala handed the formal invitation to American President Barrack Obama to visit Nepal through US Ambassador to Nepal Peter W. Bodde who called on prime minister at his official residence on Tuesday.

Nepalese Prime minister Sushil Koirala handed the formal invitation to American President Barrack Obama to visit Nepal through US Ambassador to Nepal Peter W. Bodde who called on prime minister at his official residence on Tuesday.

Prime Minister Koirala’s press coordinator Prakash Adhikari said Koirala expressed that Obama’s visit to Nepal would support all the democratic powers to move ahead in the promulgation of constitution.

Obama is visiting India in January to attend India's Republic Day special function on January 26. At the meeting, the American envoy expressed his confidence that Nepal will get the new constitution in Koirala's leadership.

They also discussed diplomatic relations between the two nations, issues about promulgating the new constitution and international investment in Nepal among others, said PM's press coordinator Prakash Adhikari.

Bodde also said that the project development agreements of Arun-III and Upper Karnali will enhance a sustainable development in Nepal.Nepal should focus on hydro powers for rapid development of the nation, said Bodde.
