Nepal Loses To Kenya By Five Wickets

Nepal has lost to Kenya by 5 wickets at the ICC World Cricket League Division 2 held at Wanderers Affies in Windhoek, Namibia on Friday.

Irfan Karim topscored unbeaten  75 runs studded with 8 fours on 94-ball knock, RR Patel made 56 runs including 5 fours off 51 balls while AA Obanda contributed 45 runs including 1 six and 4 fours facing  51 balls.

In reply, Nepal batsmen Karan KC, Basanti Regmi and Sagar Pun took 1 wicket each.  Irfan Karim and Rakep Patel’s 103-run partnership in 18.0 overs boosted Kenya secure win against Nepal by a large margin of 5 wickets with 90 balls remaining reports My Republica.

Earlier, put to bat first, Nepal had set a 195-run target against Kenya. Nepal scored 194 runs losing all wickets in 49. 5 overs. Vice captain Gyanendra Mall topscored 91 runs including 7 fours off 116 balls, skipper Paras Khadka made 20 runs including 2 fours off 46 balls while Sharad Vesawkar contributed 18 runs with 1 four in his 49-ball knock.

For Kenya, E Otieno took highest 3 wickets conceding 47 runs in 10 overs, LN Oluoch grabbed 2 wickets including 2 maiden overs giving away 21 runs in 7.5 overs while NM Odhiambo, NN Odhiambo, JO Ngoche claimed 1 wicket a piece.
