Prime Minister Sushil Koirala and UCPN (Maoist) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal held a meeting at the former’s official residence in Baluwatar on Saturday.
In the meeting Prime Minister Koirala and UCPN (Maoist) Chairman Dahal discussed fulfilling in the vacant posts of the constitutional bodies.
Dahal asked the prime minister to make appointments not only in the Public Service Commission (PSC) but also in the vacant posts of all the constitutional bodies in a package, said Dahal’s personal aide Chundamani Khadka. UCPN (Maoist) has been advocating in favor of the continuation of incumbent PSC Chairman Kayo Devi Yami reports My Republica Online.
In reply, Koirala assured Dahal that he would move ahead taking all aspects into consideration, reiterating that there is no alternative to mutual trust, understanding and unity, Prime Minister’s press coordinator Prakash Adhikari said.
In the meeting Dahal also urged prime minister to step forward in line with the 12-point understanding, comprehensive peace agreement and interim constitution, taking the signatories of the peace process and people’s movement into confidence.
All-party meeting on Friday ended inconclusively after the parties did not strike a deal on fulfilling in the vacant posts of the constitutional bodies.
