The opposition alliance, led by the UCPN-Maoist, has decided to show maximum flexibility in holding talks with ruling coalition for consensus but take to the streets if consensus was unlikely by March 14.

A meeting of the alliance here Tuesday expressed concerns over the "reluctance" shown by the ruling Nepali Congress and CPN-UML leadership for talks and stressed on the need for seriousness for consensus talks.

Spokesperson of the alliance, Prem Bahadur Singh, said that additional efforts would be placed to take ongoing talks to a logical end till March 14 and programs of agitation for next phase would be announced if the parties failed to strike a deal by then reports RSS.
