Japan Provides Emergency Grant Aid to Nepal for the Earthquake Damage

The Government of Japan will expand Emergency Grant Aid up to 14 million US dollars to support the Government of Nepal in light of the massive damage caused by the earthquake that occurred on April 25.

According to a press release issued by Embassy of Japan, considering the growing emergency humanitarian needs in Nepal, the Government of Japan recently announced the provision of Emergency Grant Aid of 1 billion Japanese yen (over 8 million US dollars) on April 27.

The Government of Japan will swiftly implement the aid and continue to put efforts in providing seamless and effective assistance to the extent possible including in the stage of recovery and reconstruction.
