Hindus across Nepal observed Shivaratri, birthday of Hindu lord Shiva. Over a million Hindu devotees from Nepal and India worshipped any paid homage to lord Pashupatinath in Kathmandu.
President Vidya Devi Bhandari, Vice President Nanda Kishore Pun, former King Gyanendra also visited the temple and paid the homage to lord Pashupatinath. Large number of Sadhus including Nagas came from India to worshiped lord Shiva.
