Japan’s National Day Celebrated

Masashi Ogawa, Ambassador of Japan to Nepal hosted a Reception to celebrate the 83rd auspicious Birthday of His Majesty the Emperor Akihito at his official Residence, Tahachal.

Nearly four hundred of VVIP and VIP guests including the Vice-President Nanda Bahadur Pun as a chief guest, Speaker Onsari Gharti, Ministers, Ambassadors and Heads of International Organizations in Nepal, members of the Legislature Parliament, high ranking government officials attended the reception.

According to a press release issued by Japanese embassy, in Japan, the Emperor is the symbol of the State and of the unity of the people. The day of the Birthday of His Majesty the Emperor Akihito, December 23, is also celebrated as the National Day of Japan.
