“Sudarshan Chaudhary from Barmajhiya – 8, Saptari, founded Spiral Farmhouse in Bakdhuwa-8, Saptari, in 2013 and focuses on biodynamic (organic) farming taking into account the “cosmic forces” as well as spiritual aspects.  His project has been selected for its innovative approach to farming and its contribution to help tackle climate change,” said a press release issued by French Embassy, Kathmandu.

French Ambassador to Nepal, Yves Carmona met Chaudhary and officially informed him of the Ministry’s decision.

Continuing the momentum of COP 21, “100 projects for climate” aims to speed up the emergence of citizen-led initiatives to combat global warming. This new participative step, building on the valuable discussions of the Paris-Climate Conference, will enable the 100 most innovative solutions from around the world to become a reality.  This initiative had received about 600 projects from 5 continents.  100 projects were selected after a citizen mobilization and a worldwide voting.
