British ambassador to Nepal Richard Morris and Mrs. Alison J Morris hosted a reception to celebrate the 91th Birthday of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth The Second at British Embassy premises on April 26.
Attended by high level Nepalese government officials, senior army officials, head of diplomatic missions and diplomats based in Kathmandu, politicians from various political parties, business community leaders and peoples from various walks of life, Vice President Nanda Bahadur Pun was the chief guest of the program.
Similarly, British nationals, who have been leaving in Nepal and other development workers, also attended the receptions. Addressing the program, British ambassador to Nepal Morris highlighted the celebrations of establishment of two hundred years of relations between the two countries and importance of visit to Nepal by Prince Harry. Ambassador Morris said that Britain has been providing support to Nepal through DFID in various sectors to uplift the life of Nepalese people.
