AIIB Promises To Invest Nepal’s Infrastructure Development

Finance minister Gyanendra Bahadur Karki said that the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank agrees to invest hugely in Nepal’s six projects in road and hydro power projects.

Finance minister Gyanendra Bahadur Karki said that the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank agrees to invest hugely in Nepal’s six projects in road and hydro power projects.

Finance Minister Karki, who led Nepali delegation, took part in AIIB meeting held in Jeju, South Korea on June 16-18. According to a report published in Annapurna Daily, AIIB has said that it would invest Rs 10 billion in the power distribution improvement project.

Talking to media person at Tribhuwan International Airport, Minister Karki said that the AIIB has promised to provide some amount within a certain time. The Asian Development Bank is also to invest in this project.
