Election Campaign Begins Under High Security

As the candidates files the nominations, political parties candidates have started elections campaigns in four provinces under high security

As the candidates files the nominations, political parties candidates have started elections campaigns in four provinces. Like in the first phase, political parties are contesting the elections making with alliance to defeat the strong party.

As elections approaches closer, there is no barrier in making alliance. Alliance depends on the places. Nepali Congress-CPN-UML has alliances in some areas. Similarly, Maoist and CPN-UML has electoral alliance against NC. However, in most of the areas, Nepali Congress and Maoist Center joins hand to cut the size of CPN-UML.

As Rashtriya Janta Party Nepal (RJPN) continues to boycott the elections, Nepal Police is haunting the workers of the party. According to security sources, almost 100 workers of the RJPN and Maoist party led by Netra Bikram Chand are in police custody.

Home Minister Janardan Sharma Prabhakar has made it clear that the government will tall all necessary measures to hold the polls peaceful. He directed the security agencies to be vigilant against the forces opposing the elections.

According to home minister Sharma, Netra Bikram Chand led Party Communist Party, RJPN, C.K Raut and Goit led underground party are main security threat in coming elections.
