DPM Mahara Requests Norway To Invest In Hydro Power

Deputy Prime Minister Krishna Bahadur Mahara expressed thanked Norway for its assistance to Nepal’s peace process

Deputy Prime Minister Krishna Bahadur Mahara expressed thanked Norway for its assistance to Nepal’s peace process, relief and rescue efforts during the earthquake and post-quake reconstruction efforts, and further expected the Norwegian support in the sector of energy.

He said this when  Norway’s ambassador to Nepal Kjell Tormod Pettersen , who is returning home after completing his four-year tenure, pays a farewell call to Foreign Minister Krishna Bahadur Mahara at Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Singha Durbar.

During the meeting, DPM Mahara said that with the ending of political transition in Nepal, investment-friendly atmosphere was being build, calling on the Norwegian government to confidently invest here.

Ambassador Pettersen said Norway wished to increase investment in Nepal, pledging continuous support to the socio-economic and democratic development efforts here.
