House of Rajkarnicar is organizing the Agro Trade and Investment Exhibition & Conference 2017. Promoted by Department of Agriculture Development and Department of Livestock Services, partnered by International Labor Organization, Nepal Agri Business Innovation Center, Nepal Dairy Association, Nepal Tea and and Coffee Board, Krishakra Prabidhi and Krishi TV, the Agro Trade and Investment Exhibition & Conference 2017 clearly defines and demonstrates the power of live communication and marketing. The exhibition will be held from 14 to 16 September.

 “If Nepal is to meet its economic and agriculture sector goals under the Agriculture Development Strategy or the millennial plan, the Nepalese public sector and private sector along with the bilateral and multilateral institutions must aggressively promote commercial agriculture to make significant progress towards achieving those goals,” said Birendra Rajkarnicar of House of Rajkarnicar addressing the press release.

 “The Agro Trade & Investment 2017 is designed and organized to facilitate the scale-up from subsistence to commercial agriculture, institutionalizing a platform for interaction and exchange for all the stakeholders, beneficiaries, sellers and buyers of the agro sector,” said Rajkarnicar.

 The objectives of Agro Trade and Investment Exhibition & Conference are Support agro entrepreneurs in the scale-up to commercialization: Technical, Financial, Supply side chain and Marketing and sales, attract new investors and entrepreneurs to agro business

advocacy and awareness for appropriate polices for Agro business: Government, Donor groups (Multi-lateral and bilateral institutions, private INGOs and NGOs)

The agro event will achieve its target through two basic strategy drivers: conference and exhibition. The conference hopes to create an interactive platform to support agro investors, entrepreneurs and farmers in providing technical and financial information and insights for commercial agriculture, scaling up their agro-business, advocating and raising awareness among the Government and donor officials for growth in  commercial agriculture; motivating new investors and entrepreneurs to large-scale agro business and networking among agro suppliers, service providers, entrepreneurs and public sectors professionals.

 The Exhibition hopes to create an interactive platform support agro buyers, investors, entrepreneurs and farmers in providing marketing and sales opportunities for commercial transactions of agro products and services, providing sourcing opportunities for agro buyers, entrepreneurs and farmers, communication opportunities for advocacy and awareness programs of Government, INGOs, NGOs, offering insights and ideas for potential agro investors and entrepreneurs and networking among agro suppliers, buyers, service providers, entrepreneurs and public sectors professionals.Given the prominence and priority of the agriculture sector in the national agenda, the results have not been proportionately matched. Agro is one of the critically needed communication platforms as a way of stirring up the pot to create the national synergy and an inspiration for a better performance in the national agro sector.

 According to Rajkarnicar, the Agro Trade and Investment Exhibition & Conference 2017 is focused exclusively on agriculture including aquaculture, horticulture, floriculture, poultry & apiary, livestock and cash-crop farming. The theme for the event is “Progressing from Subsistence to Commercial Agriculture”. The Agro Trade and Investment Exhibition & Conference 2017 is expected to host about 120 exhibitors and an educational conference for 200 participants. The Agro Trade and Investment Exhibition & Conference 2017 is expected to attract about 30,000 visitors. The event is both a business-to-business event as well as the business-to-consumer event.
