Twenty Six Injured In Fresh Bus-Tipper Collision In Chitwan

More than 26 persons were injured when a passenger bus collided head on with a tipper in Chitwan on Sunday.

Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Shiva Sharma Acharya said that all the injured were receiving treatment at Chitwan Medical College.

The accident is the second in two days. Yesterday, a bus veered off the road at Trishuli River claiming 31 lives.The Gorkha bound passenger bus Na 5 Kha 8694, carrying 26 people collided with a tipper at Ramnagar Jungle in Bharatpur Metropolitan City-1 in Chitwan district 9:30 today morning. Police are in search of the tipper’s driver who has evaded after the accident.

According to Chitwan District Police Office, the bus (Na 5 Kha 8694) collided head on with the tipper ( Ba 3 Kha 9012) near Ramnagar jungle in Bharatpur Metropolitan-1 at 9:15 this morning.

After the collision, both the vehicles had gone flicked off the road to the nearby jungle area. Of the injured, seven are in critical condition, informed police.
