Chinese ambassador to Nepal Yu Hong hosted the International Women’s Day Reception in Kathmandu. Tham Maya Thapa, Minister for Women, Children & Social Welfare attended the reception as Chief Guest. The female lawmakers, government officials and representatives from Nepal, female Ambassadors and diplomats to Nepal also attended the function.

According to a press release of Chinese Embassy, Chinese ambassador Yu conveyed her best wishes to the guests, briefed women’s achievements in China and the exchanges and cooperation between the two countries in this regard and expressed that the Chinese Embassy would like to work together with the Nepali side to push forward constant development of the bilateral relations.
