KOICA volunteer supports to install computer Hardware and Software in various wards including database management and renovation of IT section to enhance IT friendly working environment of Hetauda Sub Metropolitan city office.
KOICA volunteer with the support from the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) completed the project. The total budget of the project is USD20,000/-
KOICA has been partnering with the Hetauda Sub Metropolitan city office for a period of over 2 years and the project completion ceremony was held at Hetauda Sub Metropolitaian city office, Hetauda on March 16, 2018.
The project was successfully completed by supporting computer hardware and software installation in various ward office, designing database and database entry of old birth certificate records and renovation of IT section by making IT friendly working environment of Hetauda Sub Metropolitan city office.
The main objective of this project is to improve and upgrade the networking system between Sub Metropolitan city office and its ward offices, this project also aim to motivate and enhance local staff by providing IT related training programs.
According to KOICA, KOICA’s volunteer program is one of the main programs to contribute to socio-economic development of the partner countries at the grass root level.
KOICA dispatches Korean national volunteers to partner government organizations as per the need of expertise, knowledge, and experience. Each volunteer serves in Nepal for 2 years in various fields such as education, health, agriculture, ICT etc. Currently,3 advisors &23KOICA volunteers are actively working in various government sectors in accordance with an agreement between the governments of Korea and Nepal.
