Foreign minister Pradeep Kumar Gyawali said that he will meet high leadership during his official visit to China. “My visit is a regular visit to a neighbor and I will brief Chinese leadership about ongoing development including the elections and new government."After completion of successful India Visit, I am leaving to pay official visit to People’s Republic of China.
Addressing a press conference before leaving to China, Minister Gyawali said that he will likely to discuss the matter related to proposed visit of Prime Minister Oli to China. “We want to maintain balance relations with our neighbors based on sovereign equality,” said minister Gyawali.
At the invitation of Wang Yi State Councilor and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China and Minister of Foreign Affairs Pradeep Kumar Gyawali paying an official visit to China from April 16 to 21, 2018, leading a Nepali delegation.
During the visit, the Hon. Minister is scheduled to hold bilateral meeting with his Chinese counterpart Wang on 18 April 2018, which will be followed by a joint press address.
The Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister will host a luncheon in honor of Minister Gyawali. During his stay in Beijing, Foreign Minister will meet with the state leader of China. He will also address the round table meeting of the Chinese think tanks.
Ambassador of Nepal to China will host a welcome reception in honor of the Foreign Minister and delegation on April 17, 2018.
Minister Gyawali will also visit Chengdu City of the Sichuan Province of China. He will meet with the provincial leaders and address a program at the Sichuan University on April 20.
The Nepali delegation is comprised of Ambassador of Nepal to China Leela Mani Paudyal and senior officials of the Foreign Ministry and the Embassy.
Foreign Minister and the delegation will return home on April 21, 2018.
