Parliamentary Hearing Special Committee has approved Chief Justice Om Prakash Mishra’s name following concluding hearing. Constitutional Council proposed Mishra’s name for the chief justice last week.

Earlier, the committee rejected the name of Deepak Raj Joshi as chief justice. After this recommendation, president Vidhya Devi Bhandari will appoint Mishra as a next chief justice.
