On the eve of 78^th National Day of Pakistan, Flag hoisting ceremony was held at Embassy of Pakistan, Kathmandu on 23^rd March 2018. Dr Mazhar Javed, Ambassador of Pakistan hoisted the national flag. According to a press release issued by the Pakistan Embassy, on the occasion special messages of President of Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Mamnoon Hussain and Prime Minister, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi were also read. Officials of the Embassy, Pakistani community in Kathmandu and representatives of media participated in the ceremony.

On the evening of 23^rd March Pakistan Day Reception was held at Hotel Hyatt Regency. Nanda Bahadur Pun, Vice President of Nepal was the Chief Guest. The reception was attended by diplomats, Nepalese dignitaries, senior Government officials, prominent political leaders, Pakistani community members, academicians, members of think tanks, businessmen, bankers, senior media representatives and members of civil society.

Pakistan Embassy also organized a special musical night to celebrate Pakistan’s national day in which renowned Pakistani Singer Sara Raza Khan mesmerized the audience.
