Government rolls back LPG price hike

The government has decided to roll back its decision to hike the price of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) and implement the dual pricing system of the cooking gas.

“Our board meeting today decided to halt the price hike for now and LPG will be available for Rs 1,470, the previous price,” said Suresh Agrawal, acting executive director of Nepal Oil Corporation to Republica.

"Due to lack of necessary preparations, double pricing system of LPG has been withheld," tweeted Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai.
