FNCCI Holds Discussions With Burr

The Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) held discussions with Mara Burr, the Deputy Assistant of United States Trade Representative for South and Central Asia.

During the meeting, FNCCI officials requested the visiting dignitary to arrange easy access for Nepali goods in the US market and encourage US investors to make investment in Nepal.

"The US should make policy arrangements to ensure market for innovative Nepalese products in the US,” the officials said in the meeting, according to a statement issued by FNCCI. During the discussion, Nepali business community also requested the US to give accreditation to Nepali lab for smooth quality certification of Neapli products and allow Nepali exporters to participate is US trade fairs.

Burr was in Nepal to hold preparatory meetings with Nepali officials for Trade and Investment Framework Agreement (TIFA) Council Meeting. The meeting was scheduled to discuss the agenda for the TIFA Council Meeting and fix the date for the meeting.
