For the first time ever in the history of Nepal, Himalaya Airlines announces daily direct service to Dammam, Saudi Arabia from September 1, 2017 as a Dashain and Tihar Festival gift for the passengers.

According to a press release issued by the airlines, Dammam is one of the most sought after destination of Nepalese for foreign employment and currently we have approximately 500,000 Nepalese laborers, skilled and semi-skilled working there.  Commencement of daily direct flight by Himalaya Airlines is definitely going to ease the travel for thousands of Nepalese who have been paying hefty ticket prices as well as spending more travel time while commuting between Saudi Arabia & Kathmandu.

Operating one flight every day, Himalaya Airlines’ flight H9 559, will depart from Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu at 22:30 hours (Local Time) and will arrive in King Fahd International Airport, Dammam at 00:50 hours (Local Time) the next day. The return flight H9 560 will depart from Fahd International Airport, Dammam at 01:50 hours (Local Time) and will arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu at 09:15 hours (Local Time).

The airfare offered by the airline for Kathmandu - Dammam starts from NPR 23,800 (one way) and NPR 38,000 (round trip). Similarly, for the route, Dammam -Kathmandu, the airfare starts from SAR 850 (one way) and SAR 1,360(round trip).The above rates are exclusive of all applicable taxes. The Free Baggage Allowance for both the routes is 40 Kg for Business Class and 30 Kg for Economy Class.

The airline has appointed Asfar Travel and Tourism as its General Sales Agents (GSA), who will represent the airline in Saudi Arabia and will be responsible for the airline’s sales and marketing, market development, reservations, and ticketing services.
