Nepali Congress candidate Narayan Karki was seriously injured after a bomb exploded at Nepaltar of Udayapurgadi rural municipality, Udayapur. Karki is a candidate for the House of Representatives from Constituency -2.

Karki will be sent to Kathmandu for further treatment. Karki’s left hand was hit by explosion.

He was addressing the elections campaign when the bomb went off in Udayapurbesi Rural Municipality ward no 6, Danuwarbeshi Four Nepali Congress workers were also injured in the bomb blast.

Security personnel have been deployed at the site and further detail is yet to arrive, Nawaraj Bhatta, SP at the District Police Office, Udayapur said.

Another bomb exploded in Udayapur yesterday targeting the candidate of Nepali Congress and former leader Dr. Naryan Khadka.
