Six districts Taplejung, Manag, Mustang, Dolpa and Humla have been declared COVID-19 cases. However, Morang, Sunsari, Dhanusha, Sarlahi, Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Chitwan and Rupandehi have over 500 active cases.

The new cases were detected in Ilam1, Udayapur 2, Okhaldhunga 13,, Jhapa 16, Morang 51, Sunsari 38, Parsa 14, Bara 12, Dhanusa 33, Mahottari 4, Saptari 18, Sarlahi 6, Siraha 4, Kavre 2, Chitwan 20, Dolakha 2, Dhading 8, Nuwakot 3, Sindhupalchwok 1, Makwanpur 24, Kaski 30, Gorkha 18, Tanahun 3, Nawalparasi (East)7,Lamjung 2, Parbat 1, Bagulung 10, Syangja 1, Arghakhachi 1, Kapilvastu 1, Gulmi 1,Dang 3, Nawalparasi 1, Bardia 7, Banke 5, Rupandehi 21, Rolpa1, Dailekh 1, Surkhet 18, Kanchanpur 9 Kalikot 2, Jajarkot 1, Jumla 1, Dailekh 3, Surkhekt 19, Kanchanpur 9 and Kailali 77.

Moreover, some 902 new cases of COVID-19 were recorded across the nation, taking the national tally to 48,138 including 32,964 cases of recovery and 306 death cases.

Professor Dr. Gautam, the spokesperson of the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), confirmed 902 COVID Positive Cases on Tuesday. With this the total reach 48136.

Professor Dr. Gautam said that in 10611 PCR Test Real-Time Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) tests done in the last 24 hours, 902 persons were found to be infected with the novel coronavirus. There are 6 deaths on Tuesday.

He also said that 2287 COVID-19 patients receiving treatment at various health facilities across the nation were discharged in the last 24 hours after recovering from the virus infection. The recovery rate now stands at 65 percent.

Currently, there are 14868 active cases of COVID-19 of which 8058 are in institutional isolation and 6815are in home isolation. Some 5310 people, mostly those who had returned from abroad, are placed in quarantine.

Of the active COVID-19 patients, 144 are admitted to the ICU and 25 are receiving treatment with ventilator facility.

With this, the national COVID-19 tally has reached 48138 including 32964 cases of recovery with 68.5 percent and 306 death cases.
