Thirty-one passengers died when a Tikapur-bound bus swerved off the road and plunged off a cliff at Chhatiwan VDC along the Bhimdutta Highway in Doti district early Saturday morning. Thirteen others were injured in the crash.
The passenger bus (Na 4 Kha 3603) skidded off the road and fell some 700 metres down at around 2am, police said. The ill-fated vehicle had left for Tikapur, Kailali, from Jayagadh in Achham district at 3pm on Friday.
