Prime Minister Sushil Koirala is likely to address the Constituent Assembly this evening, a source close to the Prime Minister said. Meanwhile, the major parties failed to make any decision on how to advance the CA proceedings amid continuous obstruction by the opposition parties. The deadline set for CA for promulgation of new constitution is ending today midnight.
Top leaders of the four major political forces--Nepali Congress, CPN-UM, UCPN-Maoist and Madhesi Front-- had held a meeting in presence of CA Chairman Subas Nembang. The meeting, however, ended without many headway against the confusion.
It has been learnt that Nembang is willing to resume the CA meeting, which was put off for just half an hour this afternoon but delayed due to the meetings among the political parties, shortly.
