Inspector General of Police Upendra Kanta Aryal conferred insignia to newly promoted DIG, SSP, SPs, DSPs and other technical officers at Police Headquarter. Congratulating newly promoted police officers, chief of Nepal Police Aryal said Nepal Police is expecting more contributions from them.

"The promotion will be made on the ground of efficiency, individual capability and their contributions to the police organization," said police chief Aryal.

According to  Nepal Police News Bulletin, those promoted include DIG Sudip Achayra, SSP  Binod Sharma Ghimire, SP Deepak Thapa, Arjun Chand Thakuri, Pawam Kumar Giri and DSP Rajan Bhujel, Narendra Chand, Govinda Raj Kafle, Pradip Bahadur Chhetri,Angur G.C, Dhakendra Khatiwada, Yadav Dhakal, Shyambabu Oliya, Naryan Ranjitkar, Niranjan Dutta Bhatta, Rajan Limbu, Santosh Tamang, Yek Narayan Koirala, Ananta Ram Sharma, Binod Ghimire, Dr.Amin Kumar Shrestha, Dr. Subarna Kunwar, Dr. Sangya Malla, Uma Gywawali and Upandreshwor Tiwari.
