The total voter turnout of the election of House of Representatives and Provincial Assembly held on Sunday was 65%.
According to the Election Commission, the highest voter turnout was recorded in Bajura with 80% citing it as preliminary report.
Organizing a press meet at on Sunday evening, Election Commissioner Ayodhee Yadav informed that the turnout might increase after the second phase of the election to be held on December 7.
The first of election held at 4465 polling stations across 32 districts would elect 37 parliamentarian members and 74 members to the State Assemblies.
CEC Yadav informed that the voters turnout was enthusiastic as they throng the polling stations from 7am-5pm to cast their votes.
