Nepal has welcomed the recent measures taken toward normalizing the relations between the Republic of Korea and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, including through the participation in the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics.

"Nepal hopes that sustained efforts will be made to follow through these positive developments to achieve lasting peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula," said a press statement issued by Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) on Friday.
