Narayan Kaji Shrestha, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport, addressed the Summit of the LDC Group in Doha Today.
The DPM highlighted Nepal's policies and priorities, as well as compounding challenges of various kind being faced by the LDCs.
He said that Nepal is implementing a transition strategy for smooth & irreversible graduation and committed to exerting all-out efforts for effective implementation of DPoA”
The summit of the Least Developed Countries of the LDC5 began today. Chair of the LDC, Malawi, opened the Session. DPM Shrestha and Leader of the Nepali Delegation addressed the Summit.
The Fifth United Nations Conference on the Least Developed Countries (LDC5) will be to be held in Doha, the State of Qatar, from 5 to 9 March 2023.
Prior to the conference, the Deputy Prime Minister will address the Summit of the LDC Group to be held on the 4 th of March, coordinated by
Nepal is scheduled to take the chairmanship of the group of LDCs this year. He will also interact with the representatives of the organizations of Nepali diasporas.
The delegation led by Deputy Prime Minister will include Dr. Min Bahadur Shrestha, Vice-chairman of National Planning Commission, Jitendra Narayan Dev, Member of Parliament, Secretaries of the Government of Nepal, Ambassador of Nepal to the State of Qatar and other senior officials.
The Deputy Prime Minister is scheduled to return from Doha on the 7th of March 2023.
