The central committee meeting formed the politburo after Chairman KP Sharma Oli and senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal reached agreement on names of leaders to represent the politburo.

The CC meeting unanimously endorsed the proposal on formation of politburo incorporating 47 full and 15 alternative members. The party picked standing committee and politburo five months after the general Convention.
