Former Prime Minister and CPN (UML) leader Madhav Kumar Nepal has claimed that the opposition parties including the UCPN (Maoist) have agreed to bring the new constitution by May 29.
Inaugurating the Seventh Western Regional Women Festival organized by Radio Didibahini here Friday, leader Nepal claimed the new constitution would be promulgated by May 29 even by finding new alternative options in the disputed issues of new constitution.
He claimed that the UCPN (Maoist))-led alliance has agreed to bring the constitution by finding alternatives in the disputed issues of the new constitution including the federalism.
Arguing that bringing a democratic constitution would be appropriate in the day monarchy´s abolition, UML leader Nepal said forces that are not in favour of constitution would be active if constitution writing process was delayed.
He was of the view that the date of constitution promulgation should not be delayed than May 29 to keep the people´s hope alive reports RSS.
