As Nepal is recovering from the devastating April 25 earthquake that killed around 9,000 people, the Kensington Palace announced on Friday that Britain’s Prince Harry would make an official visit to the Himalayan republic this spring.
It would be Prince Harry’s first visit to Nepal. Issuing a statement today, the Kensington Palace said “the visit is being undertaken at the request of Her Majesty’s Government and will be the first time Prince Harry has visited the country”.
“Full details of the visit will be confirmed in due course,” the statement added.
“Harry will see how the country is rebuilding after the devastating earthquake in the country’s capital, Kathmandu,” Evening Standard reported.
He would be following in footsteps of his parents — Prince Charles and Princess Diana — and his grandparents Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip while visiting Nepal.
