Nepal Britain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NBCCI) and ACCA organized a Joint Seminar to discuss various issues related to economic development and role of professional youths.

Delivering the key note speech president of NBCCI Rajendra Kumar Khetan highlighted the importance of liberalization process in Nepal and economic transformation. “Nepalese economy has transformed from a control to liberal opening the vast opportunities in the economic sector,” said Khetan. He stressed the need to look supply and demand side in the education sector.

The joint seminar, among other, also provides an ideal opportunity for the professional to know the current state on what attracts Generation Next to finance. He highlighted changing context of Globalization and Nepalese Accountants.

Rabin Katwal, ACCA Head of Nepal, said this is a very important meeting  to learn and share the trends of international finance.

Leo Lee, Deputy President, ACCA  presented the study report on Generation Next - Drivers of change and future skills. Lee said that high mobility of younger generation people in the profession is challenging as well as opportunities.

Moderated by Ms. Lucia Real-Martin – Director, Emerging Markets, ACC panelist Rajendra Khetan, President, NBCCI, Leo Lee, Deputy President, ACCA and Shivani Dixit Adhikari Program and support director CARE Nepal shared their views with audiences.
