Just a day after returning from Thailand visit, Maoist Center leader Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda said that his party can pull out from the present government at any time.

Addressing a gathering of party leaders, former Prime Minister Prachanda said that a conspiracy is going on to derail the constitution. “If Prime Minister Deuba is unable to implement the constitution holding the remaining two elections, there is no reason for us to be part of this government,” Prachanda warns. “Whenever such situation arises, we need to be prepared to withdraw from the government,” former Prime Minister Dahal reportedly told to his party leaders at Maoist Head Office.

According to Annapurna Post daily, Dahal urged his party leaders not to indulge in factionalism and work for the broader interest of the party. In a meeting organized to evaluate the party’s performance in the two phases of local elections, Maoist leader Prachanda said implementation of the constitution is more important for his party rather than the government.
