Training of Trainers On Court Referred Mediation Concludes

Former Chief Justice distributes the certificate to the training participants of “Court referred Mediation.”

Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) together with the Supreme Court of Nepal is implementing “the Project for Strengthening the Capacity of Court for Expeditious and Reliable Dispute Settlement” from Sept. 2013 to March 2018.

The project’s objective is to establish the foundation to improve the court’s function for promoting expeditious and reliable dispute settlement. The project aims at enhancing the Case Management and Court Referred Mediation in Nepal. In regards to supporting the activities of the Project Prof. Kazuto Inaba an authority of Japanese court referred mediation, conducted the 5 day training program on “Training of Trainers on Mediation” starting from 3 rd August 2017.

Former Chief Justice and Chairperson of Former Judges Forum Nepal (FJFN) Mr. Kedar Nath Upadhaya distributed certificates to all 30 participants amidst a function on 7th Aug 2017. The participants represented Former Judges Forum Nepal (FJFN) and Nepal Bar Association (NBA) affiliates lawyers from Kathmandu and outside as well. These participants will play a vital role as Trainers to enhance the importance and enhance the quality of Court referred Mediation in Courts throughout Nepal. Thank you.
