The Government of Malaysia will be hosting the third High Level Meeting for Cooperation on Child Rights (HLM3) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia On 7-8 November 2016 the.
Hosted every three years by a different country within the region, this conference brings together senior representatives from across Asia and the Pacific to explore opportunities for shared promotion of child rights within the framework of South-South collaboration. Three themes have been selected as focal areas for exploration includes Universal health coverage, Violence against children and Social protection for families
During the conference, Davos-style panel discussions will offer participants the opportunity to share their experiences and achievements in strengthening child rights under each of the thematic areas, and discuss new opportunities for regional cooperation. The event will culminate in a Declaration backed by political commitment to further children’s rights around the three thematic focus areas of the conference.
