US Ambassadors Handed Over Riverine Boats to Nepal Army

The United States of America donated two Riverine Boats to Nepal Army in Chitwan amid a special function. US ambassador to Nepal Ms. Alaina B. Teplitz handed over replica of the Riverine Boat to COAS General Rajendra Chhetri.  The boat will be used to carry out relief and rescue operations during the disasters.

The boat will be used by Disaster Management Division of Nepal Army based in Chitwan. According to Nepal Army, the boats will enhance the capacity of Nepal Army in carrying out relief operation.

COAS General Chhetri thanked United States Pacific Command (US PACOM) for providing the boats and supporting to enhance Nepal Army’s capability to cope disasters. US ambassador to Nepal Ms. Alaina B. Teplitz said that Nepal Army is reliable and dependable force in disaster management. Ambassador Teplitz said that the government of United States happy to jointly work with Nepal Army in disaster management.
