Naresh Sharma, national program manager of National Climate Change Support Program (NCCSP) has been elected as the president of Adaptation Fund Board for a period of two years.

Sharma was elected for the board from a committee of 26 members. This is the prestigious time for Nepal to head the Fund and it will help Nepal to receive the much-needed resources.

Sharma, senior Agro-economist at the Ministry of Population and Environment also received the award in COP 21 for Nepal Climate Change Support Program (NCCP) as the program was recognized as one of the five best cases out of 170 submissions received from various countries under Nairobi Work Program.
